When you get on the main strip, towards the airport, then the roads become jammed up pretty badly. In the town itself, there aren't too much traffic unless the highway is backed up. Then, randomly, the planes will disappear for hours and days because they're using different runways to land/take off. I find really loud jumbo jets like Emirates A380 to be really (damn) cool to see when they're coming in to land and seeing them fly by my home and feeling the vibration as they take off.ĭuring rush-hour, it gets very noisy because JFK have tons of planes passing by often. Now, it's like I don't even hear them anymore. But as time went by, the noise grew on me. When I first moved into town, the sounds of airplanes drove me crazy.
